NATO are planning to send 40,000 troops to eastern Europe, in countries that border Russia, as part of its rapid response Spearhead Force.
This will increase NATO’s military presence on Russia’s border ten-fold, as both sides ramp up military drills in a situation reminiscent of Cold War times.
